SHOE MUSEUMS - How DIVA Can You Get?

WHAT? FLIP FLOPS AREN'T CALLED THONGS ANYMORE?
I just had to share this with you - there are shoe museums out there! Did you know that? I didn't but I love the idea of visiting one!

I found this article - Girlfriend Getaways Shoe Museum List - with some museums listed. Unfortunately they're all across the pond, but have no fear, there are a ton of virtual shoe museums online:

High Heels Shoe Museum

Virtual Shoe Museum

Shoe Icons

I also found this fun blog - Manolo's Shoe Blog - not affiliated with Manolo Blahniks probably, but fun none the less - especially if you click the Gallery of Horrors link!

Now, is there anything more DIVA than a shoe museum??

  1. There are only three things more exciting than shoes. I'll leave those three things to your imagination. My daughters make fun of me for buying what they claim are the same shoes over and over again. I love shoes! But...that said, I think I'd get bored at a shoe museum, maybe not. The jury's out.

  2. I would love to go to these shoe museums. I guess I keep my faves long enough that I've got a bit of one going on in my own closet, LOL! What is it about women and shoes? They are certainly the one thing that makes me feel sexier than any other thing I wear. Lots of people say sexuality is all in your head, but I'm beginning to think it's all in my toes.

  3. Those shoe museums you mentioned sound like a great and fascinating adventure into the art and style of footwear. And something far from the ordinary museum fare... in fact, they're anything but pedestrian and already have me jumping out of my shoes with anticipation!

  4. Eileen - I'd probably want to take a sketch book, lol. I love the idea of a shoe series of pop art! I already did one on Platform Shoes but I'd love to do high-heeled sneakers!
